Melissa was a CIHR training fellow in Population Interventions for Chronic Disease Prevention (PICDP) from 2010 to 2012. Throughout her research career, Melissa has worked on many research projects from small interventions to large provincial cohort studies. Her specific research interests include population health, built environment, ecological models, vulnerable populations, and chronic disease prevention.
Melissa has been a Research Coordinator in the Department of Family Medicine at McMaster since 2013. In that role she splits her time between the Drug Safety and Effectiveness Cross-Disciplinary Training (DSECT) program, funded by DSEN/CIHR, and the McMaster Community Paramedicine Research Team.
